Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (IHPA) Design Assistance

The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency provides Main Street Communities with design services for historic buildings. The service is targeted toward restoration of  storefronts and facades and graphics related to signage. A typical building design service includes:

  •  site visits

  • a color rendering of proposed changes

  • an item by item description of all proposed changes

  • technical information (preservation information, product information and repair procedures

  • mock up of graphics suggestions- sings, logo, letterhead & business cards

  • itemized listing of potential expenses

  • telephone consultation
