Although 2006 was a breakthrough year in that we
were able to hire a part-time staff person to help Executive Director
Theodora Anderson with office and computer tasks, we still require almost
10,000
volunteer hours a year to complete our work plans. (Each of the four
committees prepare Work Plans at the end of each year. The Work Plan
is a detailed description of each project which will be undertaken during
the coming year with projections of the budget and volunteer hours necessary
to complete the work) |
No matter what your particular interests or
skill or whether you have several hours a week or only one hour in an entire
year ... we are sure to be able to use your talents and engage your
attention.
The great thing about being a volunteer for
Waukegan Main Street is that you will work with people from your community
who, like you, want to make Waukegan a better place. |
